Lemieux & Associates has acquired CanvassMD, a leading provider of medical canvassing and record retrieval services.
We are excited to announce that effective December 27th, 2022, CanvassMD has been acquired by Lemieux & Associates. CanvassMD is a Florida-based medical canvass and record retrieval company founded in 2016 by Mark Hernandez and Jason Hessom, two insurance industry veterans, each with over 25 years of workers’ compensation experience.

Lemieux & Associates, a national provider of investigative services, is devoted to offering clients best-in-class service in every product line we offer. This acquisition will allow us to offer our clients the most comprehensive medical canvass search and record retrieval service in the industry. Medical canvasses and record retrieval services are valuable and cost-effective tools in mitigating claims, and this acquisition strengthens L&A’s diverse portfolio of services.

Mark will join L&A as the head of the Medical Canvass and Record Retrieval Department. He brings over 33 years of claims experience. During his tenure, Mark has served in CAT Loss Claim, Subrogation, and Litigation Management roles. Additionally, Mark was a Regional Claims Manager for Starwood Hotels, covering multiple jurisdictions within the United States and the Caribbean Islands. Since founding CanvassMD, Mark has acted as a Risk Management Consultant for hotel locations at Walt Disney World.

Jason has been in the insurance, risk management, and claim fields for 27 years. Holding a variety of leadership positions within the industry, Jason is also an OSHA Authorized Trainer with vast experience in creating corporate employee safety training, regulatory compliance, and loss prevention programs for Fortune 500 companies.
